Porto's eMTB Specialists

We're a team of passionate mountain bikers based in Canidelo, Vila Nova de Gaia who got tired of flying in with bikes but struggling to find quality eMTB batteries and drive systems to rent locally.

Ride Porto MTB was built to serve visiting riders and local cyclists who want to extend their range or try a different system before committing to a purchase.

Which eMTB brands are compatible with your rentals?+
We stock batteries and drive units from Shimano Steps, Bosch eBike Systems, Fazua, Specialized SL, and Avinox. Before booking, share your bike model and we'll confirm compatibility. Our team maintains a comprehensive compatibility database.
How long does a full battery charge last on the trails?+
It depends on the system and riding style. A 625Wh Bosch PowerTube will typically last 60–100km in Trail mode on moderate terrain. Higher capacity batteries like 750Wh can push 100–130km. We always hand over units at 100% charge.
Where is your pickup location?+
We're located in Canidelo, Vila Nova de Gaia — just across the Douro from Porto city centre. Full address is provided upon booking confirmation. We have secure bike parking on site.
What is your cancellation policy?+
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before your pickup time for a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours may incur a 50% fee. No-shows are charged in full. We recommend travel insurance for international visitors.
Do you offer multi-day discounts?+
Yes! Rentals of 3+ days receive a 10% discount, and weekly rentals (7 days) receive 20% off. Discounts are automatically applied at checkout. Contact us for group bookings of 4+ items for custom pricing.
What happens if the gear is damaged or lost?+
A security deposit is held at booking and released upon return of undamaged gear. Minor wear is expected and acceptable. Significant damage or loss is assessed at replacement cost. Optional damage waiver coverage is available at checkout.
